Save Your Seat

The Kingdom of God and the family of faith in Jesus Christ has never been about the building, however, the gathering of believers has always been and will remain a critical and core part of our journey of faith. Hebrews 10:24 reminds us to "think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works." We need each other in each other's lives to continue to grow closer to Jesus! One way of doing that is to meet together on Sunday mornings, just as the early church made a practice of doing. To that end, as of June 28, 2020, Sunday morning gatherings will resume with 2 service times (9:30am & 11:00am) with a few necessary changes being implemented.

As per provincial COVID-19 protocols issued by the Chief Medical Officer of British Columbia, large gatherings are limited to no more than 50 individuals, and only as long as physical distancing and other health precautions are followed. As a result, in order to begin meeting at the church with our church family, a registration system is being implemented.

Some allowance in registration capacity has been made for a few "walk-ins", however those individuals will still be asked to provide their contact information should health authorities need to followup with them in order to manage an outbreak should one occur.

There are a few ways to register for church:

  1. Use the Church Center app (find it on the Android and iOS/Apple app stores)
  2. Or,
  3. Or, call the church office: 250-782-5885

We look forward to meeting together and worshipping the Lord in-person starting Sunday June 28, 2020!

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

- Hebrews 10:25 NLT -

Back to Church Guidelines

Start up date: June 28, 2020
Service times: 9:30 am & 11:00 am

Gatherings of 50 People or less.

We are excited to gather once again for worship. Although we are still under a lot of restrictions by the Health Authority of BC, gathering can still be a great experience. We have put together a list of things we need to abide by. Please help us to follow these guidelines so that we may continue to meet and be an example to others.

  • Only 50 people are permitted in the church on the sanctuary side. We are also considering using the gym in the future as we can also have 50 people in the gym at this time.
  • Please remain at home if you are coughing, sneezing, have a runny nose, fever, sore throat, fatigue, chills, new muscle aches or are uncomfortable.
  • Practice 2 meter (6 feet) physical distancing at all times, including in the sanctuary, foyer and gym.
  • Use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the building.
  • The nursery will be available for diaper changing only; nursery services will not be provided. The mother's room will be available for nursing mothers only.
  • No coffee or food will be prepared or offered.
  • Do not shake hands or hug.
  • Practice regular hand washing and try to avoid touching your face.
  • The church balcony and all upstairs rooms and facilities are currently closed.
  • There is no KidZone Children's Church at this time, however activity packs will be available at the Connection Centre.
  • Young children are required to sit with their parents
  • We will be using disinfecting spray on surfaces before and after each gathering.
  • Live Streaming will still be provided.
  • Anyone returning to Canada from out of country is required to self-isolate for 14 days. If you have just returned to the country, please do not attend church until after that 14-day period.

DVD Copies of Sunday Service Live Streams

Hey Bethel Family!

We're making DVD copies of Sunday Services for individuals and families that aren't able to access FB or our website. If you have a friend or family member that would like a copy, contact and we'll make arrangements for pickup or drop-off.

Please note that copies are limited, so if you are able to help your family member get access to the website that's the best first option, but DVDs are being made each week to help those that aren't technically able to get online.

Message from Pastor Gordon: Bethel Going Online For Now

Dear friends,

We are contacting you to inform you about the plan of action for Bethel Pentecostal Church regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. Our primary concern is for the health and safety of our congregation.

In response to the Government of British Columbia we are cancelling all church gatherings until the B.C. Ministry of Health gives us provincial guidance to return to operations. (more…)

Update re: Gatherings Larger than 50 people

BC government and health officials are now limiting gatherings to 50 or less as of today. So what does the church do when we're SO used to our big gatherings? Right now we are looking at live streaming our Sunday morning service. Stay tuned as we update you during this week.

- Pastor Gordon Warriner.
